The Shooting Star Children's Hospice, in Hampton Hill, provides care, support and advice for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. These care services are offered free of charge to the children/ young adults and their families, 365 days a year across the western half of London and north Surrey. | | What was neededShooting Star ran a successful Three Parks Challenge - a 3 mile, 8 mile and 15 mile walk through the 3 Parks within the Richmond Borough. This event was open to the public and was a surprising success. The charity wanted to give local businesses the chance to contribute to a locally based charity and network with other local businesses. The event was run on the last Summer Sunday, in order to differentiate it from the general public Spring event. | | What we didWe worked with Shooting Star to co-ordinate their first Autumn Networking Three Parks Challenge in 2009. Which included: - setting up the website page
- registration documentation and process
- Just Giving registration page
- co-ordination of all walkers registration, communication and information for the day
- event planning and implementation on the day including after-party for the walkers
The day was a success for all. In addition to the Challenge, we provided training to their marketing staff, helping to develop specific tools for their unique fund-raising needs. | | What they said about our workCarolyn put her tangible energy and considerable expertise into helping us plan and manage a successful charity fundraising event. She brought a fresh, no-nonsense approach to the task and produced a truly professional result, carefully considering how best to maximise the Shooting Star brand message at all times. Revelation Marketing added genuine value, for which we are very grateful. Kim Darton - Director of Fundraising & Marketing, Shooting Star Children's Hospice | | | |
