Nestle is the worlds number 1 food manufacturer. Their well-known, international brands include: Kit Kat, Smarties, Nesquik, Nescafe, Shredded Wheat, Carnation and Purina
| | What was needed1. Disney Licensed Chilled Dairy Products: Nestle had teamed up with P&G, Nestle Cereals, Britvic and Disney to support the launch of Finding Nemo into cinema's, the challenge was to support Finding Nemo by: - developing and launching innovative and renovative products
- building standard Point of Sale items across retailers that gave a consistent message throughout the store
2. Sveltesse Diet Yogurt: A strong diet yogurt brand within the French market, was just launched in the UK as an exclusive in Tesco stores. The product had a unique positioned of '100% taste, 0% fat, 100% guilt-free' yogurt within an environment where all other products positioned themselves within in the 'calorie reduction' category. However: - the French packaging and flavour profile was not conducive to the tastes of the UK consumer
- instore shelf space was at a premium, with more established brands maintaining a strong in-store presence
3. Nesquik: Was one of the many kids products faced with the 'no TV advertising to children under 13' stipulations set out by Ofcom, circa 2005 and increased competition, especially from Retailer Owned brands. The challenge was: - to build an engaging consumer promotion that reinforced the brands credentials to consumers and reminded them of the great taste of Nesquik
- to shift the focus away from the smaller portion of sugar content and focus rather on the nutritional benefits of the milk - especially as Nesquik encouraged the consumption of milk, which has clear health benefits for growing children
| | What we did1. Childrens licensed products: - launched new blue and white coloured kids dessert and re-packaged two existing products - Fromage Frais and Dessert Cake. All products were packaged with Finding Nemo graphics and logo and Nestle branding
- developed shelf barker and wobbler for Finding Nemo products
2. Sveltesse: - worked with design agency to develop new packaging design for the Sveltesse range - including product photography
- ran an on-pack summer promotion with the main prizes being 1 of 30 summer holidays to be won - communication of the promotion was via billboards and press
3. Nesquik: - ran an on-pack 'win your height in pocket money' promotion - which included a road-show of fun activities for children to participate in
