| The Shooting Star Children's Hospice provides care, support and advice for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. These care services are offered free of charge to families, 365 days a year across the western half of London and north Surrey. | The care services are based around the needs of the whole family, so as well as caring for the children and young people, there are activities for siblings and support groups for parents and grandparents. | | | This makes a real difference to families who find themselves in unimaginable circumstances - helping them live life to the full by providing opportunities for fun and laughter, as well as helping them through the tougher times. | It costs £3 million every year (£8,000 a day) to maintain these care services and with no long-term statutory funding, the majority of this comes from voluntary donations. Download their latest magazine: Shine (3.48 MB) Or log onto their website http://www.shootingstar.org.uk/ to read more about all the amazing things they do for these children and their families | | | We worked with Shooting Star to co-ordinate their first Autumn Networking Three Parks Challenge in 2009. They host the same event in the Spring for the general public. However, they wanted to give businesses in the area a chance to contribute to a locally based charity and network with other local businesses. The day was a success or all. We look forward to you joining us for this year's Challenge on Sunday 03 October 2010. We also provide training for their marketing staff, helping to develop specific tools for their unique fund-raising needs. | What they've said about us: Carolyn put her tangible energy and considerable expertise into helping us plan and manage a successful charity fundraising event. She brought a fresh, no-nonsense approach to the task and produced a truly professional result, carefully considering how best to maximise the Shooting Star brand message at all times. Revelation Marketing added geniune value, for which we are very grateful. Kim Darton - Director of Fundraising & Marketing |
